The Time Monk Presents
The Swedish movie based on the bestselling novel, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson, hits theaters in the U.S. today. The movie is apparently pretty true to the book, not shying away from portraying the violent content. While I ate up the novel, I don't think I could stomach seeing some of the scenes in live action. If you're a fan of the book, what do you think? Plan to see the movie?
There is also a Hollywood version of the book in the works. The American adaptation of Dragon Tattoo to the big screen will reportedly make some changes to the plot so that it appeals more to Americans. For instance, it will take place in Canada instead of Sweden. I wonder if they'll tone down the more graphic scenes as well.
